STUDIO NOIRSIGNATURE AMENITIES

STUDIO NOIR · Signature Amenities

Every consumable, product, and detail members touch or notice. Curated to hotel standard. Refreshed quarterly.

Phase 1 keeps a smaller amenity set (all essential, none commodity). Phase 2 expands into the full flagship program.

The doctrine

Signature amenities are the physical embodiment of the brand. A member remembers the prosecco. The scent. The towel weight. These small things compound into felt luxury.

The rules: - One of each thing, chosen with intent. No “we offer three shampoos.” One shampoo, chosen well. - Never commodity. No brand-partnership products at cost. Every consumable is chosen because it’s the best available at Phase 1 scale. - Refreshed quarterly. Not because they wear out. Because taste evolves. - Never plastic where it can be avoided. Glass bottles. Ceramic dishes. Wood, brass, linen.

Phase 1 signature amenity list

Beverage program Phase 1

Prosecco (the signature) - Bisol Jeio Prosecco DOCG (Valdobbiadene) - Alternative: Ca’ del Bosco Cuvée Prestige for members who prefer tighter style - Served in thin-lipped Zalto Universal glasses. Never plastic. - Poured 6 oz. Refill available on request.

Chilled cucumber-citrus water - Filtered water, cucumber slices, lemon, mint - Refilled hourly during operating hours - Served in a glass tumbler

Hot mint tea (single tea option Phase 1) - Loose-leaf mint from a Triangle partner (or Bellocq if a local sourcing isn’t available) - Served in a small ceramic cup with a wood coaster

Phase 2 expands to full beverage program (elderflower spritz, cold-pressed juice rotation, Onyx espresso, curated tea selection, full still + sparkling water in glass bottles).

Scent + air

Signature scent - Custom-formulated for STUDIO NOIR (Le Labo bespoke program or comparable) - Notes we’re developing: leather + suede base, sandalwood + oud middle, warm amber + subtle citrus top - Not perfumed floral. Not spa lavender. Not commercial. - Distributed via a single professional-grade Aera diffuser at reception + one in the changing area

Phase 2 adds full HVAC-integrated scent diffusion (Aroma360 hospital-grade), plus differentiated scents for locker room (bergamot + cedar + tonka) and recovery (eucalyptus for steam, cedar + juniper for sauna).

Textile + material Phase 1

Members’ bathroom towels - High-quality cotton hand towels (Frette or Sferra tier, 800 GSM) - Available in bathrooms for members who want to freshen up - Not a full towel service (that comes Phase 2 with locker rooms)

Slippers (for events + specific service moments) - Simple cotton slippers for members who want to change into them (occasional, not standard Phase 1)

Phase 2 adds full towel service (chilled eucalyptus at departure), STUDIO NOIR-branded robes, house slippers, and full locker room textile program.

Personal care Phase 1

Bathroom amenities - Hand soap: Aesop or Malin+Goetz refillable glass dispenser - Hand cream: same brand - No shower amenities Phase 1 (no showers in the boutique) - Face mist (rose water + hyaluronic acid) at the changing area - Q-tips, cotton pads, tissues (all cotton, natural) - A small tray with mints and hair ties

Phase 2 adds full in-shower amenities (custom STUDIO NOIR shampoo/conditioner/body wash line, glass apothecary bottles staff-refilled), post-shower body oil program, hair care (Dyson Supersonic Professional at every vanity), full vanity setup with marble countertops and fresh flowers weekly.

Reception / concierge desk

  • Woven basket for member bags/coats
  • Full-length mirror
  • Small tray with mints
  • Fresh single stem in a small ceramic vase (weekly refresh: peony, ranunculus, dahlia by season)

Phase 1 café/food

None Phase 1. No café. See 03_CONCEPT_PROGRAMMING/05_MEMBERS_LOUNGE_CAFE for the Phase 2 café + lounge program.

Occasional member events (quarterly members-only social) get a small snack tray (nuts, olives, small crudité). Not a program.

Phase 1 retail

Small merch (print-on-demand or short-run screen printing). No boutique.

Available at reception on a small display tray: - Signature branded tee ($65) - Signature grip aid (private label) ($35) - Members-only tote ($45)

Full apparel line launches at Phase 2 flagship. See 11_RETAIL_APPAREL for detail.

Phase 1 reception + members’ seating area

  • Two rotating editorial magazines on the small waiting bench (Kinfolk, Cereal, The Gentlewoman, Wallpaper — rotated monthly)
  • Fresh flowers weekly (Triangle florist partner, small local)
  • Signature playlist (Trill supervised, per 01_BRAND)

Phase 1 signature moments (checklist)

Every visit contains: - Signature scent as member enters (yes) - Greeting by name (yes) - Prosecco or drink offer (yes) - Instructor greeting at class start (yes) - Curated music during class (yes) - Post-class stretch time honored (yes) - Farewell by name (yes)

That’s the Phase 1 signature. Everything else is Phase 2.

Seasonal signatures (Phase 1, subtle)

Refreshed quarterly to keep the amenity set feeling alive:

  • Q1 (winter): heavier scent notes (cedar + juniper leaning), warm tea program more prominent
  • Q2 (spring): lighter scent (bergamot + neroli), floral upgrades in reception vase
  • Q3 (summer): watermelon or cucumber-infused water alternate, lighter fabric weight in seating area throws
  • Q4 (fall): apple or cider partner at member events, richer amber scent notes

Phase 2 adds full seasonal signature programs across recovery, café, and lounge.

Sourcing philosophy

Where possible: - Local Triangle partners for daily consumables (florist, small food deliveries) - US-made or European heritage for durable goods (Frette, Zalto) - Custom-formulated for anything with the STUDIO NOIR label (scent starting Phase 1, personal care Phase 2) - Never commodity even where members wouldn’t notice

The audit (Phase 1, informal)

Monthly: Trill or Tia walks the boutique on a Sunday when it’s closed. Notes any amenity that: - Is out of stock - Has been substituted with a lower-grade replacement - Looks worn or dated - Doesn’t meet the palette

Corrective action within 30 days.

Every 6 months: Taj reviews the amenity portfolio with Tia. Cuts what has drifted. Adds what has moved the standard higher.

Signature is not static. Signature evolves. What stays is the discipline of choosing.
