STUDIO NOIR · Personal Training
Phase 1: no personal training program. Private lessons only, and only for pole and movement.
Phase 2: full personal training program launches with the flagship.
Phase 1: private lessons only
Phase 1 offers private and semi-private pole and movement lessons. Not “personal training” in the fitness industry sense (which usually means gym-floor strength coaching with a certified trainer).
Why the distinction
Personal training as a real revenue engine needs: - Dedicated PT rooms or private space (Phase 2) - A hired W-2 or contracted trainer roster (Phase 2) - Full assessment protocols (InBody, movement screens, body composition tracking) (Phase 2) - Insurance and liability infrastructure sized for high-touch physical coaching (Phase 2)
Phase 1 does not have the physical space or the operational capacity to run this well. Trying to fake it would produce a substandard offering that damages the brand.
Private pole lessons, on the other hand, are within Phase 1 capacity: the same instructors who teach group classes offer 1-on-1 or 3-person sessions on the main studio floor during off-schedule hours.
Private lesson offerings Phase 1
Booked through Mariana Tek.
| Format | Rate | Length |
|---|---|---|
| 1-on-1 private pole lesson | $120 | 60 min |
| Semi-private (2 members) | $80 per person | 60 min |
| Semi-private (3 members) | $70 per person | 60 min |
| 1-on-1 movement / dance session | $120 | 60 min |
Who teaches: the same contract instructors who teach group classes. Instructors keep 60% of the session revenue.
Availability: Monday, Wednesday, Friday afternoons (2 to 5 PM) and Sunday afternoons. Not during peak class hours.
Booking: Studio-tier members get one 30-min semi-private lesson included per month (see membership tiers 01). All members can book paid private lessons on demand.
Studio (Studio-tier) monthly included lesson: - 30-min semi-private with a lead instructor - Subject to availability - Books through Mariana Tek up to 14 days in advance - Non-transferable, non-cumulative (one per month, use it or lose it)
Volume Phase 1
Target 10 to 12 private lessons per month. Monthly revenue: $960 to $1,440.
Phase 2: full personal training program
Launched when the flagship opens with dedicated PT infrastructure.
Full Phase 2 spec (to be built out in 2028): - 15 to 25 trainers on roster across specializations (strength, mobility, pole conditioning, dance conditioning, recovery, sports performance, pre/postnatal) - Session pricing tiers: $150 Associate, $200 Trainer, $250 Senior Trainer - Package pricing (4, 12, 24, 48 sessions) with volume discounts - Head of Personal Training hired 3 months before flagship open - Trainer employment structure: W-2 with benefits at 30+ sessions/week average - Assessment protocols: PAR-Q, FMS baseline, InBody body composition, cardio baseline - 12-week reassessment cadence
Full Phase 2 PT program contributes an estimated $700K to $900K per year gross margin to the house at flagship maturity (Year 3 of Phase 2).
Complete Phase 2 PT operational spec rebuilt in 2028 alongside Phase 2 hiring plan and Phase 2 capital raise.
Nutrition, sleep, and recovery coaching
Not Phase 1.
Phase 2 adds: - Registered Dietitian (RD) on retainer for nutrition consulting - Sleep and HRV coaching partnership with an outside practitioner (on-site clinics quarterly) - Physical therapy referral network (STUDIO NOIR-adjacent PT clinic partnership)
None of these launch Phase 1. They require flagship-scale member base and Phase 2 amenities to be economically viable.
